Mark has been involved in cycling for over 25 years. He started racing BMX, and eventually moved on to mountain, road and cyclocross bikes. While living and racing in Las Vegas, NV, he found himself constantly researching information about training more effectively and efficiently. Because Mark had always been active in sports, he had a reasonable amount of exposure to anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, etc., but found, however, that he was in need of more sports specific knowledge. He also found he enjoyed using his newfound knowledge to help others get fitter and faster. Mark pursued the USA Cycling Coaching Education program in 1996 and received his Level 3 coaching license. He continued with the coaching education program, receiving his Level 1 (Elite Level) license in 2001. Mark served on the USA Cycling Coaching Education Committee, whose primary job was to develop the USAC Coaching Education’s program initiatives and educational development for licensed coaches and is a Certified Coach with the Leukemia Foundation’s Team in Training Program. His combination of backgrounds gives him a distinct advantage when working with clients to help identify the most effective and efficient modalities to use to help those clients reach their goals.
In addition, Mark has been involved in team management roles since 1995, and has helped direct junior and amateur squads to success. Since 2005, he has traveled overseas to help coach the junior and U23 National teams for the USA. Mark has had his juniors selected for, and compete in Europe, and still has juniors racing for the US National Team today. Mark was the Team Director for the US Stove -Trek p/b Vantaggio Elite Women’s Cycling Team from 2006 through 2012.
He has had clients stand on podiums at the local level, all the way up through international competitions, including World Championships. Mark ran the USA Cycling Mid-South Regional Development Camp outside of Chattanooga, TN, for 9 years and is a staff coach at both the USA Cycling Development Camp and the USA Cycling Tour de l’Abitibi Selection Camp in Flagstaff, AZ. Mark is the Team Director for the Flagstaff Selection team picked at that camp that travels to the Tour de l’Abitibi in Quebec, Canada, each July.
He received his National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Personal Trainer certification in 2000 and began training clients both in and outside of gyms in order to help them navigate their dreams. Since he has traveled the road and stumbled among many obstacles along the way, let him help you navigate your way through all the obstacles ahead of you so you too can achieve the dreams and goals you have set for yourself. Mark is highly sought after for his expertise both in helping people who want to make a change in their life navigate to the finish line by taking charge of their fitness, getting their nutrition back under control, and getting amazing results as well as those people who realize they want to just lead a better life financially through health and fitness opportunities.
